Tell us your story
I’ve always found it difficult to identify myself.
Let's say I’m an artist, but in a broader sense.
On the one hand, I'm truly a professional artist with 15+ years’ experience. On the other hand, since 2011, I’ve been deeply involved in mobile technology. So I'm a creator who produces art, concepts, meanings, products, and even companies.
My whole life is about combining different things. I’m pretty curious about art, technology, philosophy, psychology, cognitive science, human behaviour to name just a few things.
SKETCHAR as a company reflects a lot of these passions, and aims to support artists from day 1 and allow anyone in the world to be an artist, no matter where they are.
Tell us a story that has resonated with you
For the last 3–4 years, I’ve been devoting a lot of attention to cognitive science and psychology in order to understand and structure the way people think and behave. I have an incredible interest in this, not only as a company founder wanting to build a successful product, but as an ordinary human being who wants to learn more about himself and how to communicate with others.
I started with Nobel Prize-winning author Daniel Kahneman and his ‘Thinking, Fast and Slow’, Robert Sapolsky and his ‘Human Behavioral Biology’, then moved on to more niche titles like Bruce D. Perry’s ‘The Boy Who Was Raised as a Dog’.
I’m still amazed by aspects of how we live our lives, how we interact socially and how this is all driven by the activity in our brains. And naturally I’m fascinated by how this relates to art, creation and exploration.
What can't you stop thinking about?
I always have thoughts in my head about how I step up and get to the next level, or my next ‘evolution’ if you could describe it that way. In today’s world there are so many tools and so much knowledge out there that can help me become an even better version of myself.
And I also love that I’m also one of the people creating these tools for others out there.
If I could tell you just one thing...
Explore art! It’ll help broaden your horizons and change the way that you think about the world. By appreciating abstraction in art you’ll start to have a whole new perspective around abstract thought and perhaps even start admiring the relative simplicity of the world.
If you could get a warm intro to anyone in the world, who would it be and why?
I’d like it to be Daniel Kahneman whose contribution to mankind has really inspired me.
And if I was allowed another, it would probably be Elon Musk.
